MIREMBE COLLECTIONS: FASHION IN THE RAIN :)
![]() |
| Turquoise earrings, orange ring, long earring and bracelets by jewLLAHry |
Mirembe is a Luganda name meaning peace. Mirembe Collections (MC) gives one a taste of serenity in fashion with a creative explosion of talent. Mimz Mirembe as I refer to her is the hands, sweat and toil behind this Ugandan powerhouse. Already having featured in Africa Fashion Week New York 2011, this lady is headed in the right fashion direction (hope that is grammatically correct). MC strives to bring you effortless glamour with pieces that are timeless and unique.
Below are some of the pieces she presented during her launch show at Ersam Cafe in Kampala on Friday 2nd, September 2011.
Working with Mimz on accessories for the show was AMAZING despite the distance :) We gats to do it bigger and better sometime soon MIMZ :* xoxo

KASHA MAGAZINE ISSUE 2 IS HERE!!!
A must read!!! Many say so but Kasha Magazine stays true to this statement, it is A MUST READ magazine. I kept turning page by page wanting more and more and when I got to the last page, all I knew at that moment was that ISSUE 3 is gonna be even more phenomenal.
Dig into the Main Feature of Jamuhuri Wear done by Kimathi, our own local designer and also Blackbird Jeans. Seeing men take a front seat in the designing industry is lovely and encouraging to others.
The main shoot with Debbie Oyugi was amazing and the photo that caught my, the black mamba (bicycle) ride at night. Check out the ISSUE 2 here. I don't wanna ruin the surprise but be sure, good things in store :)
ENJOY!!! xxx

RIBBON AND STONE DIY NECK-PIECE
Materials: ribbon of choice, stone beads and needle or wire.
Time: 10-20minutes :)
Steps:
- Thread the ribbon through the stone bead.
- Knot the ribbon though one may opt to leave it without knotting if the stone does not slip off. This allows for different variations of the same neck-piece when stones are aligned differently.
Enjoy making yourselves some simple DIY neck-pieces. xoxo

GETTING ON THE RUNWAY... :)
![]() |
| WELCOME TO THE UNKNOWN :) |
There are taught artists, and there are born artists. THOGI is indeed a born artist with an eye for fashion and the ability to make all she wears work. In her shoot, select jewELLAHry pieces were used but with precision and very effectively :)
